Dear
I know I got this wrong — and I wanted to say so properly.
Meru,
I have been replaying everything in my head over and over, and the more I think about it, the more I realize how wrong I was. I am not writing this to make excuses or to justify what happened. I just want you to know that I truly understand how much I hurt you, and I am deeply sorry for the pain I caused.
You mean so much to me, and knowing that I was the reason you felt hurt is something that has been weighing heavily on my heart. You deserve kindness, understanding, and respect, and I know that my actions did not reflect the way I truly feel about you. For that, I am genuinely sorry.
I cannot change what has already happened, but I can acknowledge my mistakes, learn from them, and become a better person because of them. I never want to be someone who causes you pain, and I hate knowing that I did. You are incredibly important to me, and the last thing I ever wanted was to make you feel upset or unappreciated.
I do not expect this message to erase what happened or make everything okay right away. I understand that trust and healing take time, and I respect whatever you need. I only hope that, someday, you will be able to see that this apology comes from my heart. I want to do better, not just by saying these words but by showing it through my actions.
I am truly, deeply sorry, Meru. Thank you for reading this and for giving me the chance to say what has been on my mind.
Rohan
